Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) is pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Williams to be director of human resources. Williams took over this position upon the retirement of Joe Deibert, who has served in that role for 16 years.
“Joe did an outstanding job building the human resources department at HRG into the professional group it is today,” says company president Bob Grubic. “As our company experienced tremendous growth, Joe built a team that could respond to their increasingly complex needs in recruitment, training, retention, and benefits. He sets a high bar, but we are very confident Laura Williams will continue his tradition of excellence.”
Williams has been a member of HRG’s human resources team for more than 10 years. During this time, she has been responsible for benefits administration, compensation management, employee relations, and the training and professional development programs. She began her tenure at HRG as the employment specialist.
She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bloomsburg University and certifications as a senior professional in human resources from the HR Certification Institute, a senior certified professional from the Society of Human Resource Management, and a certified employee benefit specialist from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
“Laura is very knowledgeable and experienced in all the facets of human resources, and she is committed to making HRG a great place to work for our employee-owners,” Deibert says. “I am confident she will continue to distinguish HRG as one of the leaders in the industry in terms of attracting high quality people and providing great benefits and professional development for our team members. Personally, I am very proud of Laura’s accomplishment.”
