HRG’s Civil Group Continues Growth with Shambaugh, 3 Other New Hires

John ShambaughThanks to significant revenue increases and the acquisition of new clients, the group has grown its staff by more than 1/3 over the past 12 months.

HRG recently welcomed John Shambaugh, P.E., and three others to the staff in its Harrisburg office Civil Service Group: Scott Fisher, Jamie Eberl, and Aaron Moyer. These hires are the latest in a flurry of staff additions over the past 12 months that has increased the group’s size by more than 35%.

Regional Service Group Manager Matt Bonanno attributes this growth to a high standard of quality in the group’s services along with its varied expertise in municipal representation, water resources engineering, capital improvements, MS4 compliance, and construction administration and observation. “Many of our clients have said HRG is the firm of choice to provide municipal services in the region,” he says.  “We are a one-stop shop who can deliver successful projects with exceptional value, and this reputation will only be enhanced by the addition of John Shambaugh to our staff.”

Shambaugh previously owned his own consulting firm for more than 30 years, serving municipal clients in Adams, Cumberland, and Dauphin Counties. His expertise includes planning, municipal ordinance preparation, land development plan reviews, grant applications, permit applications, culvert design, roadway design, water and wastewater system design, and MS4 administration. He will serve as a project manager in HRG’s Civil Service Group, overseeing the budget and quality of various municipal and civil projects throughout Central and South Central Pennsylvania.

Fisher will be responsible for construction administration and observation services, while Eberl and Moyer will both be responsible for civil engineering design tasks related to municipal infrastructure, water resources, and stormwater management.
